Ferozpur Jhirka is a town in Mewat district in the state of Haryana, India. I taken some pictures during my trip.
Ferozepur Jhirka was founded by Wali-e- Mewat Raja Khanzada Feroz Khan. However, this is not a famous tourist places but there are some places where you will love to visit.
Places to visit in Ferozpur Jhirka:
Gandhi Garden: Well planned and well maintained garden where you will see the variety of cactus with other flora.
Hari-Ke-Pattan Bird Sanctuary: For nature lover and bird watchers this places is wort to visit where you will see the different species of birds, turtles, species of snakes and migratory birds too (in specific season only). It is also known as Harike Wetland, the largest wetland in northern India.
Jain Mandir: Beautiful temple and pilgrimage for people belong to Jain religion. You will get a divine peace there.
Anglo Sikh War Memorial: A must visit historical place in Ferozpur Jhirka. Perpetuate the memory of the brave Punjabi who laid down their lives fighting heroically against the British troops at Mudki Ferozeshah Sabhraon and Chellianwala. It was in 1845 that the first encounter between the Sikhs and the British troops took place at Mudki on December,18,1845.
Chak Sarkar Forest: Situated in the South western corner of Punjab and bordering Pakistan in the west, the Forest Division of Ferozpur has the same boundary as that of the Revenue district of Ferozpur.Chak Sarkar has been declared as a Reserved Forest by the Government of Punjab. This is a compact area supporting some natural forest with the rest of the area being rehabilitated with artificial regeneration.
Shitla Mata Mandir: This Mandir (temple) is situated in cantonment area of ferozpur near ghumar mandi and is a beautiful and we managed .It is a very famous temple in ferozepur. You like to visit there.
